Malvern Borough Councilwoman Jamie Grossman

"I fell in love with Malvern and its embracing people and traditional small-town feel. As an attorney and instructor in government, I believe that citizens must participate in Democracy for our communities to be strong. In turn, government must be open, inclusive and transparent with its citizens. As a member of Borough Council, I want to help lead Malvern as the pressure of suburban sprawl threatens our town's charm and property values. We need to balance growth with quality of life concerns. That means leveraging growth to make our community more vibrant while proactively dealing with problems like traffic congestion, over-development, and public safety."

Jamie Grossman teaches American government at Delaware County Community College and has also taught law to nursing students at Immaculata University. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University and her Juris Doctor from Temple University School of Law. Her community involvement includes the Brandywine Health Foundation, Quest Therapeutic Services, the Cancer Center of Chester County and the Chester County Hospital Foundation, and Governor Rendell's Task Force on Autism. Jamie serves on the Public Safety Committee and previously worked on the Borough's Communication Task Force. A long time resident of Chester County, Jamie has lived in Malvern since 2010.
